Child
of Your Dreams™ offers Acupuncture and Oriental medical
services to enhance fertility of patients undergoing fertility
testing, initial fertility treatment, pelvic surgery, In
Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Assisted Reproductive Therapies.
We work directly with both men and women who are experiencing
fertility problems.
Additionally,
our independent contract acupuncturists provide on site
treatment at your doctors office on the day of Embryo Transfer.
This is done via an acupuncture registry service. We work
collaboratively with your medical staff to provide you with
the highest quality of compassionate care and service.
Acupuncture
and Embryo Transfer:
Acupuncture
given immediately before and just after Embryo Transfer
has been proven to increase pregnancy rates. In the 2001
study(Fertility & Sterility, Vol.77, No. 4, April 2002),
42.5% of the group treated with acupuncture became pregnant,
whereas only 26.3% of the non-treated group became pregnant.
It is thought that the almost 40% increase in pregnancy
rate is due to calming the patient, decreasing the contractility
of the uterus, harmonizing the endocrine system, and decreasing
inflammation in the pelvic region after egg retrieval.
The
impact of the Pre and Post Embryo Transfer Protocol is the
most significant factor ever to enhance the success of In
Vitro Fertilization. Because of its effectiveness, we feel
strongly that the Pre and Post Embryo Transfer Protocol
be offered to EVERY IVF patient.
This
service is provided ON SITE at Conceptions for their clients
by our professional contract acupuncture staff. If you would
like to use our service to maximize your chances of having
a baby, please contact us with your tentative dates as soon
as possible. We will need to coordinate this with your IVF
nurse and embryology team. It is your responsibility to
notify us of any changes in the transfer date and time,
as we want to provide ultimate service for you. Our staff
will meet you one hour before your transfer and will provide
both treatments for you on your special day.
Acupuncture
and In Vitro Fertilization
-
Electro-stim protocol of eight visits 4-6 weeks prior
to egg retrieval. Normalizes uterine arterial blood flow
(Human Reproduction, Vol.11, No.6, 1996), optimizes uterine
lining, increases the number and quality of embryos and
oocytes, calms the client, promotes a sense of well being
and decreases stress throughout the procedure.
- Acupuncture
and Chinese herbal medical treatment for male factor infertility
beginning 3-4 months prior to In Vitro procedure. Useful
for ALL anticipated ICSI cycles.
- Treatment
of women with high FSH levels or history of poor stimulation
in prior IVF or superovulation cycles
- Stress
reduction for both partners
- Treatment
of Egg Donors and Egg Donor Recipients
- Treatment
of clients undergoing FET (frozen embryo transfer)
- Cost
effective, safe, and very relaxing, our treatments typically
increase the overall cost of an IVF cycle by only 5-10%.
The positive impact on the success of an IVF cycle is
well worth the expense
When
to Contact Us:
Please
call our office as soon as you know you will be doing In
Vitro Fertilization. We prefer to start your care about
4-6 weeks prior to your egg retrieval. Your nurse coordinator
will give you approximate dates for this. If you have a
known underlying medical condition causing your infertility,
it may be helpful for you to begin treatment earlier than
this time frame. You are welcome to call for an initial
evaluation to make those personal determinations. If there
is a male factor involved, we prefer to treat the man 3-4
months prior to the In Vitro Procedure, as sperm cell production
takes about 3 months time. While these time frames are ideal,
we are happy to work with you at any stage of your treatment.

Child of Your Dreams was founded by Kyle Liston, a registered
nurse and licensed acupuncturist. Kyle was personally affected
by infertility and underwent numerous In Vitro Fertilization
procedures herself. Now the mother of two lovely children
the, Kyle is dedicated to helping people on their path to
becoming parents. She is deeply interested in doing all
she can to assist those who wish to bring wanted children
into the world. She brings with her 15 years experience
of high risk OB/GYN and Newborn nursing. She has been in
private practice as an acupuncturist since 1997, helping
many people achieve their dreams of children.
Kyle
believes strongly in offering the highest quality of Chinese
Medicine in a caring, compassionate, and competent manner.
